What is European Union
The European Union is an organization of 27 countries on the European continent, established on 1 November 1993. This organization was created by the Maastricht Treaty in the spirit of political and economic integration in Europe. It also includes the European Parliament, the European Court of Justice and the European Central Bank. 19 out of 27 countries have 'Euro' as official currency, while 8 member countries like Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Sweden do not use Euro. The European Union has developed an internal single market through a standardized system of laws that applies to the affairs of all member states and is shared by all member states.

Initially it had 28 member states but now it has 27 member states as the United Kingdom left the European Union in 2020. There are 24 official languages in the European Union.
